The Struggle for cellphone reception in Stanford and the Palo Alto Area 

Finding spotty cellphone reception at Stanford and in the Palo Alto area? Turns out there’s been a struggle between keeping a rapidly gentrifying neighbourhood the way it is and the wave technological advancement in the area.

The struggle isn’t new, and to paraphrase one of my favourite songs under what situations should we pave paradise to put up a parking lot? Do we do it for better cellphone reception, a boutique and a swinging hotspot?

But technology has advanced since The Counting Crows wrote the verse. The question we want to ask is whether there are other technological, regulatory or policy solutions available today that could be explored to resolve or mitigate this issue.
